The exhibition Hypercreatures – Mythologies of the Future addresses the impact of global crises on the relationships between humans and other living beings, calling for a new awareness of the interconnections within ecological and cultural systems. The exhibition questions how humans, animals, plants, and machines can cooperate in a shared network and challenges the separation between nature and culture. Hypercreatures as hybrid beings and agents of a changing world are presented as a new perspective for the future.
26 artists from 16 countries, including Troika, present visions of hybrid beings and explore new, inclusive narratives for a more-than-human future. The exhibition engages with works by Max Ernst and reflects on the mythologies of capitalist times. It invites reflection on the role of hybrid beings in society.
