Visual: Elevation 1049: Energies | LUMA Foundation
The 6th edition of Elevation 1049: Energies opens on 1 February 2025 in and around Gstaad. Curated by Stefanie Hessler, the exhibition features works by 13 artists and collectives in indoor and outdoor spaces. Haroon Mirza presents his installation Oscillations for Caduceus, 2024, which uses solar panels to capture sunlight and store its energy. This energy not only supplies the live sound component of the installation, but is also conserved for possible future use. Inspired by the concept of the Dyson Sphere, the work explores the idea of extracting stellar light while critically questioning the implications of unlimited energy expansion.
